About Sheffield Roofers

We're a Sheffield-based roofing company covering South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire and North Nottinghamshire. Every roofer on our team is experienced, insured and local — and every job, big or small, gets done properly.

Proper Roofing, No Shortcuts

Sheffield Roofers has been on roofs across South Yorkshire for a long time. We started small, working mostly on terraces in the S6 and S10 postcodes, and grew through word of mouth — the way the best local trades always have. Today we cover everything from a single slipped tile to a complete commercial re-roof, and we still run on the same principle we started with: do the job right, don't cut corners, and the work will keep coming.

We employ our roofers directly. We don't sub-contract out to the cheapest quote, we don't chase lead-gen sites for jobs, and we don't do door-knocking. If you're reading about us, it's because you found us on Google, saw one of our vans, or had us recommended by a neighbour — and that's exactly how we like it.

What We Believe About Roofing

Honesty First

If your roof has another 10 years in it, we'll tell you. We won't try to sell you a re-roof you don't need. We'd rather have you call us back in 2035 for the real thing than rip you off now.

Materials Matter

We use Welsh slate, not Chinese. We use Marley, Redland, Sandtoft and Russell — not whatever's on offer at the builders' merchant that week. The right materials cost a little more, and they last generations longer.

Local Labour

Our roofers live in Sheffield, Rotherham and Chesterfield. They drink in the pubs and shop in the Co-ops. If anything goes wrong with a job, they'll still be here to put it right.

Our Credentials

Fully insured — £5 million public liability, £10 million employer's liability
NFRC-standard workmanship on every job
BS 5534 (slating and tiling), BS 5250 (ventilation), BS EN 12588 (lead) compliant
CSCS-carded roofers, with IPAF tickets for any mechanical access required
Full Health and Safety at Work Act compliance, with RAMS on every commercial job
Member of relevant trade bodies — check our FAQ page for the current list

Our Guarantee

Every job we do carries a 10-year workmanship guarantee. That's in writing, it's transferable to new owners if you sell your property, and it's backed by a company with a physical Sheffield address you can walk into. Manufacturer material warranties run alongside this — typically 25-50 years on slate and tile, 20 years on EPDM, 15-25 years on GRP.
